Why we teach differently

We're raising the standard of fitness education

Too many personal trainer courses in Edinburgh are designed to get students through a checklist. Edinburgh Personal Training Academy is an in-person course built to prepare you for the gym floor: real conversations, sound planning, clear demonstration and confident adaptation — see full cost, dates & entry requirements.

Our practical sessions run from a permanent gym floor at 545–551 Gorgie Rd, Edinburgh EH11 3AR, easily reached from West Edinburgh, Gorgie, Fountainbridge, Slateford and across the city. As a personal training course delivered entirely in person, it's a genuine alternative to an online-only PT course.

Meet James and Ewa — a teaching team focused on practical judgment, individual support and coaching that lasts.

Course selectivity

We don't take everyone. We take the right few.

Every intake is capped at 8–12 students. That protects the quality of the coaching, gives every student meaningful floor time and lets James and Ewa know how you are progressing.

Why selectivity matters

The right environment for serious future coaches

We look for students who are ready to learn, practise, accept feedback and raise the standard for their future clients.

  • 8–12 students per intake
